Welp, my friends. We’ve made it to the fourth and final part of the Client Home Sweet Home reveal. I’ve had so much fun showing you dudes around my place and truthfully I am a lil’ sad it’s over. BUT, as you may have seen on Instagram, I recently bought myself a dream project and will have a NEW HOUSE to show you guys as soon as I can! It’s all very exciting, but we still have a looooot of work to do. Anywho, before I get too ahead of myself, let’s dive into the backyard of my CURRENT home! Because I still very much live here and am very much in love with it all. Sooo to kick it off today’s bloggy blog, shall we once again take a moment to remember how it looked BEFORE I got my paws on it?!

Fire Pit
Starting off strong with one of my fave spaces to curl up on a chilly summer night with a glass of pinot and my people – the fire pit. As you can see in the before photos above, this space was just a rando square of grass that abruptly separated the patio from the pool. I wanted the backyard to feel like a cohesive hang space with a natural flow, while also keeping each space distinct. PLUS, I spend my rare free Saturdays full relaxation mode), so I replaced that grass patch with some pretty gravel annnnnd that pretty much covers it. Similar to the renovations throughout the rest of the property, I opted for simple and elevated details that’ll make a lasting impact.

Pool
Not much is better than lounging by the pool during one of California’s infamous heat waves. If you’ve experienced a hot summer day in the valley then you know how it goes, HA! The pool is pretty much untouched, and was perfect from the day I bought this place! Sooooo, taking this moment to hype up these perfect chaise lounge chairs from the Amber Lewis x Four Hands collection instead. These luxurious beauties feature a sturdy teak frame tightly woven with weather-resistant polypropylene, complete with metal cross stretchers and a plush upholstered cushion. The Finnegan Outdoor Chaise is not only durable and comfortable, but truly timeless and beautiful. Including a link to shop it here because it really is THAT good!!

Pergola
Movin’ and groovin’ right along to the pergola, the ultimate hosting zone. It’s nestled along the fence line and caddy-corners the far end of the pool, making it the perfect spot to post up with some iced tea or a sparkling bev before the pool shenanigans get too rowdy. Plus, it’s a gorgeous spot to host a dinner party. But before I built this magical little oasis, there was a big fat nothing in its place. The backyard was huge, but looked empty and a bit plain. Hence the inclusion of this pretty pergola, made of steel and featuring a cute bamboo roof, ideal for letting a little light through while also protecting you from that SoCal sun (also a big fan of SPF over here!)

Patio
Okay now onto the fourth and final part of the fourth and final part (no that’s not a typo, I’m being funny, DUH!) Okay but for real, this is a super cozy hang spot I refer to as the patio. It’s right off the family room and the kitchen, making it super ideal for wine nights with friends or for easy access to the pizza oven. YES, I said pizza oven. This space is also pretty untouched, but I’ll share the linky links for what’s here anyways, because I love you.
