World 5000 silver medallist Margaret Chelimo world under 20 champion Beatrice Chebet and former world youth 5,000m silver Gloria Kite will lead Kenyan team in the battle for medals in 5,000m final in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
The reigning world 10,000m bronze medalist finished 4th in 14:53.45 as Chebet was third in 14:53.34 and Kite was placed sixth in 14:53.62 in heat two
Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay topped heat one in 14:52.64 as compatriot Dawit Seyaum came second in 14:53.06
However, they will face Ethiopians trio of World 10,000 m champion Letsenebet Gidey, Gudaf Tsegay and Dawit Seyaum as well as Olympic 5000m champion Sifan Hasan.
Kenya has won the title four times with Vivian Cheruiyot winning twice in 2009 in Berlin and 2011 in Daegu and defending champion Helb Obiri winning in 2017 in London and 2019 in Doha.
