B-Stock’s Summer Teammate Spotlight 2022: Meet Celine Djomoah

B-Stock is so excited to welcome Celine Djomoah to the Product team this summer! As a summer teammate, we know Celine will be an incredible asset to the company. Celine studied Computer Science & Design at Northeastern University. Learn a bit more about Celine and see their answers to some questions below.

Q: What are you most excited to learn at B-Stock?

I am most excited to improve on my technical design skills and learn effective communication with a team on large and often unpredictable projects!

Q: When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? (Or still want to be!)

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a pediatrician.

Q: What is one piece of advice you’ve been given that has stuck?

One piece of advice I have been given that has stuck with me is that small habits influence big changes and persistence is key. No matter how many times I fail at something, I take it as a lesson, change my approach a bit and continue to push until I win.

Q: Where can people find you after work or school?

After work, people can find me looking for new food spots around the city with friends.

Q: What is a hidden talent of yours?

A hidden talent of mine is that I can draw and paint.

Q: What plays in the background while you work (music genre, podcast, news)?

While I work, Soul and Afro-soul music plays in the background. When I really need to focus, I work with my TV on a random show because the noise of people interacting makes me feel like I’m in a cafe.

Q: Where would you go with unlimited PTO?

With unlimited PTO, I would move to Ghana. It’s my heritage and where most of my family lives. My family combined with the food is enough to keep me there forever! I would then spend the rest of my leisure time experiencing every African country.

Q: What do you do when you’re stuck creatively? How do you get the creative juices flowing?

When I’m stuck creatively, I force myself to go out into the world whether it’s going for a walk or sitting in a coffee shop. I often get inspired by small things that stick out to me in everyday life like the colors mixing together in someone’s Starbucks order or the outlines of city skylines. My phone’s photo gallery is very random in this way.

Q: What’s something you’ve accomplished that you’re proud of?

Something that I’ve accomplished that I’m extremely proud of is graduating with my computer science degree from Northeastern University. The journey was challenging and confusing to many around me but I made it to the end and continue to make myself proud.

Q: What is one thing you hope to contribute to B-Stock?

I hope to contribute my persistence on design problems and learning nature to B-Stock! I hope I can offer interesting perspectives and possibly have an impact on future B-Stock design approaches.
