Nutritionists, breakfast enthusiasts, and mothers, you might want to close your ears here. But I’ll admit—albeit shamefully—I’m a breakfast skipper. I know it’s bad. I even feel guilty about it. But sometimes, the thought of cooking breakfast after groggily taking my first sip of coffee is just too much. That said, even I can get behind a breakfast that’s easier than balancing a burner, toaster, and/or blender at once. These sheet pan breakfasts are superheroes in the mornings and make life especially easy if you’re cooking for a crowd.
I should mention that a few creative liberties were taken here (passive voice intended). Not every recipe is made on a literal sheet pan, but each does follow a one-pan format that’s cooked in the oven. Stick with the vision here and I promise you’ll be glad you did! These sheet pan breakfast ideas are just what your busy mornings need. Read on to find your new faves!
10 Sheet Pan Breakfast Ideas to Try This Week
Everything Bagel Smoked Salmon Flatbread with Lemony Cream Cheese
Why We Love It: Smoky salmon laid atop a tart plus a hefty schmear of cream cheese is a savory breakfast worth talking about. First of all, it’s incredibly easy. The only thing you have to “make” here is the cream cheese, and all that takes is a little mixing. Store-bought pizza dough works wonders as the crust with everything seasoning sprinkled over top. From there, simply piece it all together! This is one of those recipes that’s so much more than the sum of its parts.
Hero Ingredient: Team capers, always! You can’t beat their salty, briney bite.
Chai Spice Granola
Why We Love It: Granola is one of my favorite breakfasts because it’s quick, easy, and consistently delicious. In this chai spice variety, granola takes on a vibrant, dynamic flavor profile. Sprinkle it over yogurt, your morning smoothie, or enjoy over your choice of milk. Granola knows no bounds.
Hero Ingredient: The spice mixture here is seriously impressive. The combination lends warmth, earthiness, and a slight heat to the granola that keeps you on your toes.
One Bowl Baked Banana Cashew Oatmeal
Why We Love It: If you’re already eating it with your eyes like me, you can imagine how tasty this oatmeal skillet is. It’s chock full of delicious and nutritious ingredients that will keep both your taste buds and tummy happy. Not to mention it boasts a hearty dose of spice that keeps things completely comforting. The best part? You can make this oatmeal entirely in advance. Combine your ingredients, bake it until golden, and store it in the fridge once it’s cooled. From there, you’ve got breakfast in a pinch all week long—this one reheats beautifully.
Hero Ingredient: The caramelized bananas are everything. The edges get all golden and nutty in the oven. It’s simply magical.
Chris Styles’ Almond Christmas Kringle
Why We Love It: Who wouldn’t want to wake up to an almond pastry on Christmas morning? I know I would, and bonus points that it fits the sheet pan breakfast format! It’s a special Styles family recipe that Camille notes is just divine with a hot cup of coffee. Give it a try at your own holiday celebration—it might find its way into your family traditions, too!
Hero Ingredient: The toasty almonds on top bring the best bite of crunch.
Spicy Mexican Baked Eggs
Why We Love It: IMHO, baked eggs are underappreciated. You get all the benefits of a cooked egg without actually having to cook the egg. When they’re baked, they’re full of all that liquid gold yolk and you don’t have to lift a finger. In this recipe, they’re surrounded by bell pepper, kale, pico, and more, then topped with a whole slew of goodies.
Hero Ingredient: The toppings are key. We’re talking avocado slices, pumpkin seeds, tortilla strips, sour cream… the possibilities are endless.
Classic Shakshuka
Why We Love It: Again, baked eggs take the cake for easiest breakfast ever. Instead of a Mexican-inspired variety, this time we’re celebrating Middle Eastern flavors. These eggs are poached in a rich tomato sauce simmered with garlic, jalapeño, cumin, paprika, and tomato paste until fragrant and mouthwatering. The entire dish is indulgent but doesn’t compromise its healthier nutritional profile. So c’mon, treat yourself to seconds.
Hero Ingredient: Toast up some sourdough on the side for added crunch. Plus, you can soak up all that luscious yolk in style.
Chorizo Sheet Pan Breakfast from fed & fit
Why We Love It: A true sheet pan breakfast, this chorizo bake is so simple and full of flavor. The chorizo is cooked alongside potatoes and red bell pepper, then topped with so many edible accessories. Avocado, lime juice, cilantro, and sliced jalapeños elevate the entire pan to perfection. Serve this on its own or with a fried egg or two over top.
Hero Ingredient: The lime juice cuts through all of that savory meatiness to bring a refreshing tang to the mix.
easy sheet pan breakfast sandwiches from a beautiful mess
Why We Love It: These breakfast sandwiches are such a crowd-pleaser and an easy make-ahead breakfast for a crowd. At the core, they’re composed of fluffy Hawaiian rolls, soft-scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese. From there, the buns are coated in an egg wash and sprinkled with everything bagel seasoning. They’re simple to make and fun to enjoy in their cute grab-and-go package.
Hero Ingredient: Thin slices of green onion are laced throughout the eggs to bring a little freshness to each indulgent bite.
sheet pan sweet potato breakfast hash from how sweet eats
Why We Love It: This sweet potato breakfast hash is full of all there is to love about breakfast. It has the potatoes, the bacon, the eggs, the hot sauce, and you could even bring in some toast if that’s your jam. As a true sheet pan breakfast, this one is great to make on a lazy weekend when you don’t feel like cooking. Whatever your style, this one is a guaranteed hit.
Hero Ingredient: Don’t be afraid to let your potatoes get nice and crispy. Like any respectable skillet potato, they’re best when the edges are golden-brown. Or in the case of a sweet potato, caramelized to perfection.
Why We Love It: Keeping things on the lighter side, this Sheet Pan Kale and Egg Bake is a quick and healthy vegetarian main that’s great to keep in your back pocket. In less than 20 minutes, you’ve got a delicious plant-based breakfast on your plate that hardly requires any elbow grease. It’s quick, simple, and full of nutrients to keep you glowing from the inside out.
Hero Ingredient: Chopped pieces of sun-dried tomato bring a briny richness to the party that you can’t miss.
