Recently on Instagram, I was asked, “If you could only shop in one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?” The answer to that question has changed a LOT over the past decade as my style has evolved. When I was living in Utah (I’m from there!), I was not as partial to the colorful, preppy, feminine brands that I saw on women in the South, but in the last few years, that’s what I’ve started gravitating towards. I guess that’s what living in the South for over a decade will do to you ;).

So, the answer to that question now? Hands down, Tuckernuck. I love almost every single thing they carry. If I am shopping at another retailer, and I’m not quite sure how I feel about any given item, I tend to ask myself, “Would Tuckernuck carry it?” and if the answer is yes, I feel confident in the style!  It’s impressive to me that their clothes are great for both 20-somethings and the 40-year-old mom like me. It’s classic, American, and feminine – everything I want my style to be!

Tuckernuck has become my go-to for my closet and gifts, and I have a handful of roundups on the blog:

The brand was started by Jocelyn Moore Gailliot, Madeline Moore, and September Rinnier in 2012. It has grown into huge online retailer since then. They source their women’s clothes from only the best designers, and I’ve been introduced to some of my favorite brands through them.

10 Best Tuckernuck Tops for Your Closet

In today’s post, I’m rounding up my favorite blouses from their current selection. Funny enough, I always struggle to buy tops. Dresses feel like more “practical” purchases since they’re an entire outfit on their own, and since nice blouses are expensive (and only 1/2 of an outfit), I usually need a push to make the purchase. But as a busy mom who loves jeans (see the best jeans to add to your closet here) and denim shorts, I need to invest in some unfussy, feminine tops that I can wear all summer long. Here’s what I’m loving lately.

Scarlet Sonata Trapunto Stitch Sofia Shirt

This Scarlet Sonata Trapunto Stitch Sofia Shirt is the perfect blend of interesting, unfussy, and comfortable. The print gives it that “I have a cute top on” feeling, but the shape is easy to throw on with a regular bra and not much forethought. I like it best styled with fitted jeans (either the MOTHER Hustlers, Madewell Kick Out Crop, or Quince Bella Kick Flare jeans) or shorts since the top itself has a boxy fit. I wear a size XS.

    Pink Pique Holmes Boyfriend Polo

Next is this Pink Pique Holmes Boyfriend Polo. The cropped, relaxed fit is right up my alley for everyday mom-life. I love that you can easily throw it in the washing machine without special attention, and if you’re super southern, you might like the personalization option they have for this top too. While powder pink is always my first choice, this top does come in 6 colors. This puff sleeve alternative is cute, too.

    Exclusive Blue Nerano Dawson Shirt

I like to have a few floral blouses to wear with white jeans in the spring (my favorite white jeans are linked in this post). This Exclusive Blue Nerano Dawson Shirt is fun and feminine without feeling fussy. I love sleeveless blouses, and when they have buttons on the front for easy breastfeeding access, I love them even more. I’d pair this top with white denim and sandals.

    Blue Stripe Rae Blouse

I’ve always been someone who loves stripes, and this relaxed, ruffle collar striped top is so effortlessly chic. I love how it’s styled with dark wash denim on the website. However, I know I’d also wear it often with white jeans and even casual denim shorts. I also love the price tag (under $100). The high neck ruffle collar, short cap sleeves, and a button front placket make this the PERFECT popover blouse for spring and summer.

    Ivory Americana Sweater

There’s nothing more me than this sweater. I love all things America, and this Americana Sweater ish such a tasteful classic. I have the ivory version so I can wear it in the summer. I’ve been surprised by just how much I’ve worn it! It’s pricey ($248.00), but I don’t mind since it’s a classic piece I know I’ll wear forever. It’s made with 100% cotton and I ordered an XS. It runs big, so size down or plan to wear it oversized. I love timeless, classic pieces that show my love for the United States!

    White Kaia Flutter Sleeve Tee

There’s nothing more useful to have in your closet than a feminine ruffle sleeve tank. It can be worn on its own with jean shorts or jeans, and it can also be tucked into a maxi skirt. I love that the ruffles stand out a bit and make a statement, but they aren’t overpowering or overwhelming for a petite frame. This top is under $100 and a classic you’ll wear into the ground. If you can make it work in your budget, get both the white and black.

    Sandstone Pique Sleeveless Margaret Polo

Everyone needs a sleeveless polo in their wardrobe to pair with jeans and shorts. It’s polished and classic, but it feels effortless and casual at the same time. I love that this Sandstone Pique Sleeveless Margaret Polo has a ruffle detail down the placket.

    Chambray Finley Flutter Sleeve Top

The Finley Flutter Sleeve Top is one of those tops that Tuckernuck has carried for years (for good reason). It’s the perfect elevated blouse that works well with white jeans, dark jeans, denim shorts, and cotton shorts. It’s relaxed and casual, but can definitely be dressed up with the right accessories, too. I’m a sucker for anything Chambray in the spring and summer.

    White Selena Blouse

Another Tuckernuck classic. This White Selena Blouse (which comes in other colors too), is a preppy everyday blouse that works perfectly with jeans. I’m always a puff sleeve fan, but I also love that the collar stands up and has buttons down the front placket. The only tricky part of this top is that it’s hand-wash only, so I’d plan to wear this for dressier occasions like dinners with friends or a date night.

    Black Livia Puff Sleeve Top

I own this Black Livia Puff Sleeve Top and LOVE the material! It’s ribbed, which I didn’t realize until it arrived, and I’ve really liked that it’s different than the rest of the tops I own! I find that it feels more dressy than casual, so I usually pair it with longer jeans instead of denim shorts, but that’s totally preference. The puff sleeves add a really fun, feminine detail, and the v-neck makes it easy to style with my favorite everyday jewelry.

That’s all I have today, but I’ll update this post if I spot other must-have Tuckernuck tops while I’m browsing.
